<i>Salmonella</i> spurs recall of ritz crackers

(HealthDay)—A number of Ritz Crackers products are being recalled due to possible Salmonella risk, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Sixteen varieties of Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits products in the United States are being recalled by Mondelez International because they contain whey powder that's been recalled due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

No illnesses associated with the recalled Ritz products have been reported, according to the New Jersey-based company.

Consumers who have the recalled Ritz products should not eat them. They should be thrown away. For more information, consumers can call the company at 1-844-366-1171.
