Some Kahlua-brand ice cream is recalled

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of certain packages of Kahlua Brownie and Double Fudge Brownie ice cream due to a labeling error.

The recalled products, distributed by Shain's of Maine Ice Cream Co. of Sanford, Maine, might contain undeclared egg products, posing a health risk to people who are allergic to eggs.

Being recalled are all 1-quart and 3-gallon containers of Kahlua Kahlua Brownie ice cream and all 3-gallon bulk tubs of Kahlua Double Fudge Brownie ice cream.

The products were distributed in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Consumers with questions can contact the company at 800-324-0650.
