The United States on Friday crossed seven million confirmed coronavirus cases, according to a running tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The figure of 7,005,746 cases confirmed by tests is the highest in the world, with India second at 5.8 million and Brazil third with 4.7 million.

According to the tracker, 203,240 people have also died from Covid-19 in the US, which is also a global high.
