Two die of swine flu in Bosnia

Health authorities in Bosnia say two people have died of swine flu and another six are hospitalized.

Dr. Mahdi Brcaninovic said on Friday that a 62-year old woman whose immune system had been weakened by previous health issues died in the Zenica hospital. The hospital in Zenica has formed a team of doctors who are dealing with other patients that may have the H1N1 virus.

The first victim this year in Bosnia—a 32-year-old woman—died in Sarajevo on Tuesday. Officials say six people are hospitalized in Sarajevo, including one in critical condition.

However, the head of the Public Health Institute, Zeljko Ler, says no epidemic is in sight.
